The M2
Performance minimal’s are one of the funnest, most versatile boards you can own. Great for first waves, perfect for gliding small clean waves and with the paddle and pick up for larger or junkier surf.
Usually a performance minimal comes at a cost; the size of the board means to make it lightweight they are inherently weak and lose their responsive feel quickly or simply break. With the Torq TEC construction you get a lightweight board with all the strength of a much heavier one and much more responsivity.
Our combination of carbon strips on the top and bottom make these boards super lively and surf a lot shorter than their length.
The M2S
Derived from our M2 model, the S is the slimmed down race version. It’s M2 older brother is a deceptively fast performance fun board, with the wide nose associated with a minimal, enabling some forward trim and stability.
With the S model, we kept the long low speed rocker and pulled in tail to retain the wave catching, speed and drive features of the M2, and stripped back the funboard features. The nose template is refined to a more performance oriented shape reducing the swing weight and allowing a more responsive, maneuverable board through turns.
This is a lively, fast paddling board which likes to surf rail to rail in waves from waist high and up.
TEC
The Technology
Torq Epoxy Composite offers performance shapes in our state-of-the-art epoxy layup. These boards have the best balance of Lightweight versus Durability. Using our own unique lamination process, we are able to use a very strong fiberglass lay-up of 6oz and 4oz combined in 3 layered deck and 2 layered base (with a 4 layered rail lap) with a high density EPS foam, but still achieve a board weight that matches a lightweight fiberglass lay-up.
The result is light but very strong board, with good flex characteristics and as with all Torq's excellent value for money.
TEC MID-LENGTH
The Torq TEC mid-lengths feature carbon stringer to the deck and bottom for a new level of torsional strength. Combined with 6+6+4oz deck and 6+4oz base, these boards are incredibly strong, light and responsive.
