Throwback Thursday Charles Williams & Impact Surfboards
This Throwback Thursday, we celebrate Charles Williams, a pivotal figure in the Treasure Coast surfing community and shaper for Impact Surfboards. Between shaping custom surfboards and riding waves on six continents, Charles and his twin brother, George, have made over 40,000 Impact surfboards over the past 40 years.
A Life Dedicated to Surfing
Charles continues his dawn patrol sessions at Fort Pierce Inlet, having surfed almost daily since age 12. His journey from high school surfer in Ormond Beach to a world-class big wave rider is nothing short of inspiring. Charles' passion for surfing has taken him to the Mexican backdoor pipeline in Puerto Escondido.
Crafting Surfboards with Love
More than just a surfer, Charles is a master craftsman. He shapes, sands, and glasses each board by hand, creating custom boards that enhance surfers' skills and enjoyment. His dedication to quality and personal touch has earned him a loyal following.
Charles Williams embodies the spirit of surfing, from his early days riding waves to shaping the future of the sport in Florida. His passion, dedication, and craftsmanship continue to inspire the Treasure Coast surfing community. Join us in celebrating his incredible journey and contributions to the surfing world.
